Welcome to the historic Country Life Hotel, a classic Queensland family bush pub and hotel located in Kin Kin, only 30 minutes from Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, and two hours from Brisbane.

 

Built in 1914 the Country Life Hotel lies in one of Queensland’s most beautiful valleys. To the south is the historic town of Pomona, with its legendary theatre and to the east is Lake Cootharaba boasting the fabulous national park and everglades. The hotel is only 2kms from Living Valley Springs Health Resort. Steeped in history the hotel is centrally located on Main Street, in Kin Kin and offers its guest’s classic hospitality, unspoilt native gardens and comfortable accommodation.

 

There is music most Friday nights and every Sunday afternoon.  Each Sunday there is a pig on the spit commencing at 12 midday and music starts at 1pm and goes until 5pm.

There is a sail covered courtyard adjacent to the kitchen where diners can enjoy their meals away from the smokers and the bar. The outdoor smoking area features a very large open fire with firewood supplied for the comfort of the smokers.

The hotel was extensively renovated in 2007 and completed in 2008. Flood waters inundated the hotel on April 2nd 2009. Although the hotel and lots of equipment and memorabilia was washed away. The flood reached the height of 2.4m in the bar the hotel is now back trading as it was before the flood.

Last but not least, the hotel is a starting and stopping place for the Noosa Trail, where people can park their cars and horse floats.  There is a walking, cycling, and horse riding enjoyed on the Noosa Trail.
